M2M developed the 2024-2026 Lake City / Hinsdale County Tourism Strategy — a comprehensive three-year plan for the Lake City Hinsdale County Marketing Committee, supported by a Colorado Tourism Office Management Grant. The plan aims to enhance the tourism economy while prioritizing community well-being, building on the findings from the Destination Blueprint Summary Report. Plan development involved reviewing previous community and tourism plans, creating a Datafy visitor profile, conducting stakeholder interviews, facilitating a community workshop, and surveying over 1,000 participants, including visitors, residents, and stakeholders.

By emphasizing initiatives like storytelling and targeted marketing efforts, the plan seeks to garner local support for tourism, foster appreciation for its role in driving businesses and job creation, and highlight the importance of off-peak tourism development. Expanding visitation beyond peak seasons aims to ensure year-round economic stability and improved access to amenities for residents and visitors alike.
